Thermoplastic elastomer, abbreviated as TPE or TPR, is the abbreviation of Thermoplastic rubber. It is a type of elastomer with rubber elasticity at normal temperature and plasticization at high temperature. The structural feature of the thermoplastic elastomer is that the resin segment and the rubber segment are composed of different chemical bonds. The resin segment forms a physical cross-linking point by virtue of the force between the chains. The rubber segment is a highly elastic segment and contributes to elasticity. The physical crosslinking of the plastic segments changes reversibly with temperature, showing the plastic processing characteristics of thermoplastic elastomers. Therefore, the thermoplastic elastomer has the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber and the processability of thermoplastics. It is a new type of polymer material between rubber and resin. It is often called the third generation rubber. So what is the difference between TPE raw materials and TPE granulation modified materials? The TPE made by domestic TPE manufacturers is re-granulated, even understood as recycled granulated material, and it is considered that foreign TPE is of better quality than domestic TPE. In fact, foreign TPEs are the same as domestic TPEs. They are compound compounds and all need to be granulated. However, most small factories use mixers and screw plasticizing extrusion granulation, and a few large factories use Lina to blend plastics. Melt, and then cut into pieces. At present, due to the increasingly fierce competition in the domestic TPE market, many of the remaining scraps, spouts and even TPE products are widely recycled and reused. These corner nozzles and waste products are screened, cleaned, broken, and re-pumped (granulated). The resulting TPE particles are called TPE pumped granules, also called TPE recycled granules. TPE granulation is a composite polymer material obtained by compounding the raw materials of each component (such as the above-mentioned SEBS, compatibilizer, oil, and additives) into plastic granulation. This material has not been used for molding. It belongs to modified new material. TPE pumped pellets are granulated materials that are pelletized again (pumped pellets) to become raw material pellets, which belong to recycled materials. The performance is worse than TPE modified new materials, and the quality stability and reliability are poor. In fact, all TPE thermoplastic elastomers, regardless of the product brand of foreign or domestic manufacturers, regardless of the material call method, are actually blended pellets. The quality of foreign and domestic TPE materials is the same if they are of the same specifications and application fields. In the domestic TPE market, because of the greater market pressure, the product grades may be more subdivided, but they can better meet the customer's detailed performance and processing requirements. Of course, for some foreign TPE manufacturers, their TPE R&D and innovation in the high-end market is still ahead of the domestic ones, which can be said to be at the forefront of the world. The above is an introduction to the difference between TPE raw materials and TPE granulation modified materials. TPE products not only have the excellent elasticity, aging resistance and oil resistance of traditional cross-linked vulcanized rubber, but also have ordinary plastics. Features of convenient processing and wide processing methods. It not only simplifies the processing process, but also reduces the processing cost. Therefore, TPE material has become the latest material to replace traditional rubber. Its environmental protection, non-toxicity, comfortable feel and beautiful appearance make the product more creative. Therefore, it is also a more humane and high-grade new synthetic material, and also a global standard environmental protection material. |
